Anticipated 2017 Releases: Part Two

Anticipated 2017 Releases- Part 2

Hello again my fellow bookworms! I doubt anyone would remember at this point, but at the very beginning of the year (when I first started this blog), I posted the first half of my long list of 2017 book releases that I’m looking forward to. Well, I’m a bit late posting this, but today I’m bringing you a list of all the books releasing in the second half of 2017 that I’m excited for!

Which, if you think about it, means that I should be celebrating my 6th month blogiversary! I’m so proud of how far my little blog has already come, I haven’t always been able to post as frequently as I would like to, but I truly appreciate everyone that has taken time out of their day to read my silly posts and talk to me about books. I’ve already made some great friends, and that alone is something to be thankful for!

Anyways, on to the books! Clicking on a book’s title will take you to its Goodreads page.

June Wrap-Up

June Wrap-Up

Another month came, and another month gone. I don’t know how time manages to move so incredibly quickly, but I feel like I take a breath and suddenly I’m at the end of the year. I mean 2017 is half over!! I still feel like we just changed over the calendars from 2016!

Overall, June was a pretty great month for me, I’ve spent most of it relaxing and with friends. But I’ll get into the personal details later, first here’s all the bookish stuff aka the stuff you actually want to read.

The Best Bookish Shops

The Best Bookish Shops

I’m sure if you have a blog, bookstagram, or belong to the book community in any sort of fashion, you know about all the hype surrounding bookish merch. Candles, bookmarks, art prints, Funkos, bath soap, jewelry, lip balm, nail polish, pillows – the list goes on forever. And I’m by no means immune to any of this myself. As I type up this post, I’m currently surrounded by two recently-burned bookish candles, a pile of preorder swag (bookmarks, book plates, etc.),  a magnetic string thingy that holds up my art prints, a book-themed flip calendar that I got from a bookish subscription box, and two actual books. All of this in just one corner of my fairly large room FILLED with bookish stuff. You could say I have an obsession, but I’m guessing you probably do too.

So, in celebration of my love for book swag, I decided to feature a few of my top favorite (online) bookish stores! I tried to pick some shops that are underrated, that you guys may not have heard of before. Of course, I could name 15000 other shops that I adore, but that would be an extremely long post! (And obviously the title of my post is a bit facetious; what shops you consider the best are probably totally different than mine!) I also highlighted my personal favorite item from each shop, in case you need a recommendation to get you started.

May Wrap-Up

Copy of February Wrap-Up

Hello my fellow bookworms! I can’t tell you how good it feels to be publishing another Wrap-Up post. Although they’re probably not the most interesting kind of posts to read, I find it very therapeutic to collect my thoughts on the last month, and see how much I was able to get done.

Most recently, my bookish attention has been focused on attempting to limit the number of books I buy. I’m guessing this is a problem for almost everyone reading this post, but it’s a really difficult one for me. Just check out some of my past wrap-ups to see what my hauls looked like! In order to try to lower my TBR and limit my spending, I came up with a book-buying ban – of a sort. In a nut shell, I only buy one book for every two books that I actually read. So far, it hasn’t been going too badly!

February Wrap-Up

February Wrap-Up Header

Once again, my monthly wrap-up post is like 1000 days late, but my life is just crazy, so I hope you guys get used to reading these posts about a week after the new month has started. I don’t know, maybe you’ll like it even better that way..? stop kidding yourself Mia

Also I apologize for how ugly the post header is, but I had zero time to attempt to make something nice, so please excuse my lack of design skills and patience.

Overall, February was pretty bad – for my reading/blogging/book stuff in general. Life-wise, it was meh. I’ll give you guys a little more detail on just why I’ve been so busy lately, but that’s later in the post. Mostly I’m gonna chalk up my complete failure to the fact that February is the shortest month. Two or three more days obviously would’ve changed everything, right?? Right. Glad we’re on the same page.
