It took me a few tries to write this post. I even considered trashing the idea altogether, but a part of me just really needs to write this— for my own sake, and for any other bloggers that can potentially relate to my experiences.
The title is a bit vague, but instead of prefacing this post like I usually do with my discussions, I’m just going to dive right in!

I know that by now you guys are probably sick of reading 2017 wrap-up posts. But hopefully you have it in you to read just one more! I recently posted my list of Top 2017 Reads, which highlights my favorite books of the year. This post is not quite the same; this is going to feature my reading stats (which I made handy-dandy graphics for), and just a couple things I want to work towards in 2018. Here we go!

Hi friends! I realize I’m a bit behind with this post, as most bloggers have already posted their 2017 wrap-ups and favorites list. But I was frantically trying to reach my Goodreads goal literally up until the last 20 minutes of the year (I had to read one and a half books on December 31st in order to reach my goal—I don’t recommend this lifestyle kids, it took some real effort, LOL). Good news is I reached it! But I waited until I was 100% done with all my 2017 reads before I made a wrap-up (coming very soon!) or end-of-the-year list, just in case one of those last-minute reads became a favorite (spoiler alert: none of them did).

I chose not to do a set number of favorite books on my list (top 10, 5, etc.), just because I’d rather feature all the books that really deserve it! Don’t worry, it’s still a fairly short list.

Hi friends, Happy New Year! I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the start of 2018 than by participating on my first Rock Star Tour, for a book I absolutely adored no less!
Today I’m sharing my thoughts on this action-packed, “batty” novel by the queen of high-tech stories, Marie Lu! There is also a giveaway for three finished copies of Batman: Nightwalker later on in the post!

Another year gone, and another year ahead, filled with bookish goals and my fervent attempts at reaching them! I’m not one for doing too many yearly reading challenges, but I entered Beat the Backlist last year, and I want to try it again. Because, well, I kind of completely failed at it in 2017.
For those that aren’t aware, Beat the Backlist is a year-long reading challenge hosted by Novel Knight (an amazing blog!!) that’s for knocking out those books you’ve had sitting on your shelves for eons. You set your own goals and participate on a team to gain points. The only rule is that each book you count towards the challenge has to be published before the current year (2018)!
